Chemical Resistance Meets Sustainability

Stability for Demanding Applications

We offer a comprehensive portfolio of polyamide-based masterbatches. Polyamides are known for their high mechanical strength, toughness, and thermal stability. New to the range: a heat stabiliser masterbatch for effective stabilisation under continuous thermal stress.

Effective additive masterbatch for POM

An additive masterbatch designed for all POM processing stages. From compounding and extrusion to injection molding and recycling. This high-performance formaldehyde scavenger chemically binds released formaldehyde, thereby reducing emissions throughout the entire process. The EBA-based carrier formulation minimizes shear peaks during melt flow, reduces local temperature spikes, and thus limits the mechanical and thermal degradation of POM. Less shear means less chain scission–induced formaldehyde formation. Any residual formaldehyde is then reliably captured by the scavenger. This combination of prevention (reduced formation) and capture (chemical binding) minimizes emissions particularly effectively and broadens the stable processing window.

Now also available for polyketone and high-temperature polymers

The many different variants are particularly suitable for cleaning hot runners and valve gate nozzles. The combination of active ingredients efficiently removes polymer residues and colour residues as well as cross-linked components that can occur during the processing of polyketone. The chemically active cleaning component ensures effective cleaning without damaging the machine components. After the cleaning process, the granulate can be quickly removed from the processing machine by the downstream polymer. Longer dwell times in the machine are also possible without any problems.

Optimal weight optimisation

A highly efficient foaming agent enables a remarkable density reduction of up to 40%. This combination of lightweight potential and technical performance makes it especially attractive for applications where stability and resource efficiency are equally important.

For improved NIR detectability in the recycling process

Black packaging in particular poses special challenges for the circular economy. Traditional carbon black pigments absorb the radiation from NIR sensors, preventing the separation of different types of plastic in the recycling process. With AF-Carbon® PE 950811 NIR black, we have developed an innovative, carbon black-free alternative based on polyethylene. The masterbatch combines high colour depth with reliable NIR detectability, making black packaging recyclable. Carbon black is not only found in black formulations. It is also a common com[1]ponent in coloured formulations and therefore also interferes with the sorting process. That is why we have created solutions that allow almost any colour to be adjusted without carbon black. From deep black to individual special colours. This gives you maximum design freedom while helping to improve the recycla[1]bility fo your plastics in the long term.
