AF-COLOR Background

Customer-Focused Masterbatch Expertise

AF-COLOR stands for high-quality engineering masterbatches. As a branch of AKRO-PLASTIC GmbH, we maximise synergies arising from the compounding expertise available to us in research, development and production methods to deliver professional solutions for our customers’ requirements. Since 2003, AF-COLOR has been the specialist in masterbatch manufacturing, operating under its own name within the international Feddersen Group. In recent years, the company has continued to invest in the development and expansion of environmentally-friendly production facilities and in important areas such as R & D, logistics and sales and distribution.

Today, with state-of-the-art production facilities, we rank amongst the most renowned suppliers of high-end masterbatches and carbon black and additive concentrates for the global market and for a host of customer requirements. Our DQS-certified processes allow us to provide corresponding standards (ISO 9001, ISO 50001, ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001), and we have continually adjusted our production capacities to meet growing market demand.

Substituting High-Risk Chemicals

AF-COLOR implemented REACH in June 2007. The REACH Regulation places responsibility on industry to manage the risks from chemicals and to provide safety information on substances. Manufacturers and importers are required to gather information on the properties of their chemical substances, which will allow their safe handling, and to register the information in a central database in the European Chemicals Agency. One of the goals of REACH is the progressive substitution of the most dangerous chemicals (referred to as “substances of very high concern”) when suitable alternatives have been identified. AF-COLOR is REACH compliant and has implemented requirements as per legislation.
